Djokovic Reaches Final at US Open 2007

Djokovic Passes Nadal in Semi-finals and Reaches Final at US Open 2007 and Faces World's No.1 in Tennis Roger Federer

Dreams Coming True

Rafael Nadal's hopes of winning the Montreal Masters were ended by Novak Djokovic under the lights on Saturday as the Serb produced a superb display to win their semi-final 7:5, 6:3.

The second-seeded Spaniard had won five of their six previous meetings but third seed Djokovic broke in the 12th game to take the opening set and again in the eighth game of the second to set up a final against world number one Roger Federer.

Nadal, the winner in Montreal in 2005, missed three chances to break the Serb in the 10th game and Djokovic made him pay.

Djokovic was the more aggressive player throughout and a netted drop shot from Nadal in the eighth game gave him a 5:3 lead and he kept his nerve to serve out for victory.

"This is one of the biggest wins of my career," Djokovic told reporters. I won against him in Miami on this surface and tonight I really played some impressive tennis."

"Well, obviously, if you play against No. 2 of the world, it is a very tough game, you know. You cannot get an easy match against him on any surface. I played him couple of times before, and I won only one time on this surface. Obviously, I go into the match with some positive thoughts. And I managed to be aggressive from the start, and I knew that I have to be in control in the match. So I'm really happy to get through in straight sets."

On playing Federer: "I'm going to play against No. 1 of the world tomorrow. I played him couple of times. I lost every match. So I will not have anything to lose tomorrow. I'm going to be motivated for sure. Certainly he's a favorite in tomorrow's match. But as I said, nothing to lose, and try to recover as much as I can and be ready. And with the way I played throughout all this week, I had some really impressive matches. So I can say that I'm feeling really confident, and I have some chances tomorrow."
